Puppy course. This course is designed to provide you with the opportunity to train, learn, stimulate your puppy mentally, emotionally and physically and to have some fun together.

Combined video consultation and puppy course*, £215.  This is proving to be extremely successful. I will be going through the same profiling questionnaire that I would be using if I came to your home, providing guidance and answering all the questions you may have a well as recommending a course of action.

Combined home visit and puppy course*, £240.  This can be arranged before, during or after the end of the course attended.

The video consultation and the home visit last for an hour and allows for the resolution of challenges that can sometimes occur with a new puppy such as:

Helping your puppy to settle in to its new home - Puppy nipping - Chewing - House and crate training - Feeding, diet etc - Children at home with a new puppy. (If applicable).

*If you would like a puppy course combined with a video consultation or home visit, please book a place on the appropriate course and tick the video/home visit option box on the registration form and I will make direct contact with you via email or telephone.

Training philosophy and method. It is my aim to guide all those that attend towards having an educated and happy puppy, by using positive re-enforcement and praising the puppy for responding in the right way. I do not believe in compelling a puppy to do something. A puppy will react far more readily and with a huge amount of eagerness, if it knows that there is going to be a positive result.

During the course, attendees will learn how to teach their puppies fundamental skills, including verbal and visual signals for, teaching your puppy it's name, plus “sit” and “down”; a proper technique for lead-walking, 'gently', 'leave it' and recall; the most important exercise of all, including how to successfully introduce and use a whistle as a recall aid.  We also cover; house/crate training, health issues, methods to reduce biting, stranger anxiety, fun and stimulating games and much more.

Social distancing and safety. We have introduced a range of measures to mitigate as much risk as possible, including those shown below.

2 person per puppy limit - Strict 2m distancing between you/your puppy and other people and their puppies - Bring/wear anything that will help you to feel safer, hand wash, face mask etc. this is entirely optional.

Coming training is at your own risk. I will do everything that I can to mitigate any risks, but ultimately much of what we will do will be based on common sense and respecting everyone else’s space.
