Contract. By registering or agreeing to home visit, individual 1-2-1 or group training session(s), it is assumed that you accept our terms and conditions and that by completing and registering for a course or individual training it means that you have read and agree with all of those terms and conditions and in doing so you enter in to a binding contract with Richard Grant/K9 Help.

For the purposes of this document, the term dog/dogs also covers puppy/puppies.

Courses and outside training. You are responsible for the behaviour, control and actions of your dog while attending training and are required to clean up after your dog should they urinate, defecate or vomit and if inside using the cleaning product available.

All dogs will be on a lead at all times unless otherwise directed to be so by a member of the K9 Help training team.

In class: respect everyone else’s right to listen and learn by not allowing your dog to interfere with another at any time, unless directed to do so by a member of the K9 Help team.

You agree to follow all instruction(s).

You will not use any of the training equipment unless an instructor is present and you are then directed to do so.

There is no penalty to you if any equipment is damaged provided you are following direction and instruction correctly.

Only praise, positive reinforcement methods will be used. If you abuse or ill treat your dog in any way you will be excluded from the training session/ course immediately,  (and from the remainder of the course.) The course fee will be forfeited, there is no refund.  There will no further individual training in the event of any ill treatment being shown or used to a dog in my presence or another member of the K9 Help training team/staff.

You cannot attend the training session if your female dog is likely to be, or is season, as this will be detrimental to your training and that of others.

You dog’s health and fitness is your responsibility and that by attending a course or individual lesson it is assumed that your dog is fit and healthy and therefore capable of taking part. If your dog is ill, you can still attend without it so that you do not miss out and still do learn and gain benefit from.

You cannot attend a course if your dog is suffering an infectious disease, this includes those that are deemed to be zoonotic. If you have any doubt then you must contact your own Vet and they must give permission either in writing to you or in person to me via telephone or email.

Group training. Please do bring with you any family members or friends who would like to be or are involved in your dog’s training. The minimum age to be the primary trainer during the training session is, 14. However, there are opportunities for children under the age of 14 to participate during certain parts of the evening under the supervision of the accompanying adult. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 16.

Every effort will be made to ensure that you will train in a safe environment.  However, by accepting these terms and conditions you accept that Richard Grant/K9 Help can not be held responsible for any injury caused as a result of your attendance at a course or during an individual lesson.

Any accidents or concerns involving a person or a dog must be reported immediately to the trainer.

Cars are parked at their owner’s risk. Richard Grant/K9 Help does not accept any responsibility for theft or damage to cars or property whilst at training.

Payment.  If you entered into the contract over the phone or online you have 14 calendar days to cancel the contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. The cooling-off period starts the day after you agree to go ahead with the service. This must be done in writing or via email.  This does not cover any course or appointment that is booked and will start within the 14 days.

Course cancellation policy.  Please note that, as per the terms and conditions of being allocated a place on a course, the full course fee will be charged if the place is cancelled within 7 days of the start date and your place cannot be re-allocated, or you fail to attend for any reason.

The course fee covers this course only; there is no compensation for any training that you and/or your dog/puppy are unable to attend and therefore miss for any reason.

Individual appointments. The full fee is required on or before the day of the appointment. As is the policy for most businesses, the full fee will be charged for any appointment cancelled within 48 hours of the time/date of that appointment., if that appointment cannot be reallocated to another client.

Copyright.  All written content is the intellectual property of Richard Grant, unless stated otherwise and should not be shared with anyone other those directly involved with your dog, unless permission to do so is made in writing and subsequently given in writing.

Data Protection.  Any information provided via the registration process or other method will be retained and only used in direct association with K9 Help dog training and will not be shared by Richard Grant/K9 Help with any other parties.

Photography.  No photography in class of other course members, instructors or assistants, inside or outside. However, photography of your puppy/dog on is allowed, provided the background is clear of others and/or their puppies/dogs.  To prevent any breaches of the Data Protection Act, photograph and recording of any method is not permitted unless as stipulated.
